OMCG drug arrest, Rockhampton – Queensland Police News

Police have arrested and charged a member of the Mongrel Mob Outlaw Motorcycle Gang (OMCG) with drug offences in Central Queensland.

Capricornia District Tactical Crime Squad officers executed a search warrant on a Rockhampton business yesterday where the 38-year-old Frenchville man was arrested.

The man has been charged with three counts of supply dangerous drugs, one count each of disobedience to lawful order issued by statutory authority and possess thing suspected DMA (mobile phone)

He has also been charged with breach of bail conditions and is expected to appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court today.

Robbery and assault, Mackay – Queensland Police News

Detectives have released vision after a business was broken into and a man assaulted in Mount Pleasant early Sunday morning.

Around 4.40am, a man tried to force entry to some businesses in a complex on Willetts Road. He then smashed a glass door panel of one of the businesses. A staff member who was at the business approached the man who then hit the staff member in face and ran out of the business.

The man fled on a silver mountain bike fitted with what is believed to be a small petrol engine. He is described as approximately 175cm tall, Caucasian and wearing a white cap, black hoodie and black backpack.

Anyone who recognises the man or has further information is urged to contact police.

Update – Fatal traffic crash, Tin Can Bay

A man has been charged following a traffic crash at Wallu in August which resulted in an 87-year-old woman’s death.

The 39-year-old The Dawn man was charged with dangerous operation causing death and possess dangerous drugs.

He is due to appear in the Gympie Magistrates Court on November 9.

Fatal traffic crash, Clemant (Townsville)

A man has died following a traffic crash between a truck and sedan at Clemant yesterday afternoon.

Preliminary information suggests the vehicles were travelling opposite directions along the Bruce Highway when they collided around 3.30pm.

The driver of the sedan, a man aged in his 20s, suffered significant injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The truck driver, a 46-year-old Kirwan woman, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
